I am an artist and photographic educator working and living in Burlington, VT. I am interested in exploring the many elements that create our living spaces, specifically the way we define personal and private space in our homes and our outdoor living environments and how those elements can be a reflection of our personality traits and often, our quirks. The sometimes false sense of privacy many of us hold in these spaces, the boundaries we draw to demarcate our space, the occasional humor in our choices and the endless attempt to control and corral nature in our surroundings are of interest to me. I also enjoy manipulating the perception of scale and size to create images that encourage the viewer to lose themselves in the scene and to perhaps even question the authenticity of the space itself.
